Prayer for the days following Christmas......

As of today Christmas has been over for one whole day. Is always amazes me that immediately after Christmas is over people begin to say things along the lines of "I am glad that its finally over", "another Christmas season finally over" and "well we survived another year". I am here to encourage people not to just "survive Christmas" but make it something that we strive to do all year long. Why should we only really care about people for a "season" of the year? Why not help our fellow man all year long. This is what Jesus would have wanted us to do. Take for example Matthew 22:34-40:

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Imagine the outcome if we really did care about the welfare of others above the welfare of ourselves. Lets pray that God will start to move our hearts in that direction. That before we become overly concerned with our own welfare we consider those around us. Pray with me that we might see God working in the world. Lastly, pray that we will continue to spread the joy of Christmas for the entire year that stands before us. as always we offer our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ- Amen

Prayer for Widows......

Quick post today. I just want to take a minute to encourage people to pray for widows this Holiday season. Losing a loved one can be one of the hardest things to endure and can be especially hard over the holidays. Lets just take a few minutes to pray for the widows in our communities and that they may have a warm holiday season surrounded by people who genuinely care for them. We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ - Amen

Prayer for the American Church......

I recently read that 70-80% of all Americans consider themselves to be Christians. I was amazed at the high number because when I look around I do not see that many people which I would believe to be born again Christians. I am not here to pass judgement on anyone but I do want to point out the fact that the Bible teachs that will will know Christians by the fruit that they bear. Matthew 7:16 "By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?" (NIV) It brought me to the question "what are we doing in our American Churches these days? I started to look at my own life and question whether or not I am truly living for God and fighting a daily battle to be more like Jesus Christ. I know that for myslef I am falling very short of being Christ like. This fact put a very heavy burden on my heart. I feel like right now the American Church needs a revival. We need a burden on our hearts that forces us to strive to be more like Christ. Are we saved because we go to Church faithfully every Sunday? Are we saved because at one point in time we followed someone in a prayer? Did we mean it when we prayed that prayer? Am I saved because when I woship on Sunday I lift my hands into the air? The Bible teaches that there is only one way that we can have our salvation. Faith in Jesus Christ. However, Jesus called us not only to accept him as saviour but to repent of our sins and follow him, try are best to be like Him. I can hear people now screaming "leagalism" but that is not what I am trying to get at. Our salvation is through faith alone but I believe that the bi-product of salvation is a repentent heart (our fruit). I cannot imagine a true disciple of Christ being content still living in the sin that they had lived in before they were saved. I am not here to say that a disciple of Christ will never sin again. We will all fall short of the glory of God. The difference is that we a true disciple falls into sin they experience a burden on their heart to repent of that sin and ask for forgiveness. This is what brought me to praying for the American Church. I feel as though we have turned the Church into a business and that business is out to draw numbers and make people fell better. Although the Church does make us feel better, that joy should only occur when we know that we are truly living for God. What good is it for a man to go to Church on Sunday but then as soon as he leaves the Church he goes home, argues with his family and sits on the couch for six hours watching football. (I have nothing against football, I am just using that as an example) what I am getting at is, what are we doing with our time and efforts? Waht types of things are we putting before our eyes (I am very guitly of this one)? What or who are we listening to? Do we check every part of our life against the Bible? Next time you go to Church look around the room and see how many people even brought there Bible with them. Do we just leave are Bible in the car from one Sunday to the next"? These are just a few of many example of the things that are happening in Churches all across America. We need revival and we need it now! We need to make Jesus Christ the center of everything in and outside the Church! Therefore, I am asking you to pray with me. I am asking you to pray that the American Church gets the revival that it so badly needs. We need to pray that we serve Jesus Christ for the sole purpose that HE IS WORTH IT! Please pray with me and help me to offer up all of our prayers in the holy name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer for Thanksgiving.....

The quickly approaching Thanksgiving holiday gives us all many reasons to be thankful. However, today I am asking that we all take time to pray that we will not quickly forget our thankfulness after the holiday has passed. It is important that we strive to constantly remember all that God has provided for us on a daily basis. Pray that God will remind us that in all things (even times of sorrow) we are to be thankful for all that he has done in our lives. So during this Holiday season be thankful and have a heart full of joy, but pray that you will carry over that heart of thanksgiving well into the new year to come. Also, pray for a heat of compassion for your fellow man. Rejoice with those who rejoice and share grief with those who are grieving. All of these things we ask in the name of Christ Jesus - Amen

Prayer for Truth.........

It has been way to long since I posted a prayer and I feel now more than ever that we can use it. Actually, we should always be pushing to pray non-stop in all matters. For today, I ask that you all join me in prayer for truth. Pray for truth in every area of our lives. Pray for truth being spoke from the pulpits in our Churches. Pray for truth coming from the lips of our politicians. Pray for truth coming from the hearts or husbands speaking to their wives and mothers speaking to their children. Continue to always pray fro truth. Pray that God's truth of His son Jesus Christ will reign supreme in our lives. All these prayers we give up in the name of Jesus Christ - Amen

Prayer for Voters......

With the elections only a day away I thought that it would be the perfect time to pray for voters. I ask that you take a moment to pray for all of the voters across the nation. That their votes would be well-informed and that God would guide their hearts in the right direction. We need to make it a point to continuously pray for the politicians that lead and help to shape our nation. As always, we offer up all of our prayers in the name of our savior Jesus Christ.

Prayer for Faith..........

I feel the need today to call people to pray for their faith. Pray for all of the Christians worldwide that their faith might be strengthened through the power of the Holy Spirit. We live in a time when countless Christians are persecuted and even killed for their faith. I personally do not see this trend going away anytime soon and envision a world in which it will continually grow worse. the Bible tells us that as Christians we are going to face persecutions and that when these things happen we are actually being blessed.

Matthew 5:15 "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me." (NIV)

As Americans we live in a country in which we do not have to suffer serious persecutions for our faith. Therefore, all of my brothers and sisters in Christ pray for our fellow Christians around the globe who are suffering greatly because of their faith in Christ. Pray that through our weakness God can complete His works in us.

Prayer for Americas Churches.......

I find it fitting today since it is Sunday to ask you to pray with me for our churches. Let us pray that we do not become confined within the walls of the places in which we worship. Pray that God will fill our hearts with the desire to go out into the world, away from our safety nets and spread the message of Jesus Christ. Pray the the messages that we hear in our Churches are truly inspired by God and that we do nothing for the sake of ourselves. We will never be perfect but we should constantly strive to be more like Christ.

Prayer for Prostitution....

I was reading today and cam across an article about prostitution in the Ukraine. It broke my heart to read the article and realize how many woman are subjected to this type of lifestyle and feel that there is nothing wrong with the way in which they are living. No woman should be forced to live a life filled with selling yourself for the pleasure of others. "The girls see themselves as victims of fate" (1) the article read. We need to pray for these woman and ask the Lord to open their hearts and realize just how much He cares for each and every one of them. We also need to pray for the workers out there in the mission field who are trying to tackle this problem at its core. Never forget that these woman are daughters, sisters, mothers, and in some cases even grandmothers. Please take a few moments to pray with me for these woman and as always God bless.

Prayer for Strength..........

I have had a very interesting and trying weekend. I thought about it a lot and continue to think about it now. I ask that anyone reading this pray for the strength to carry on. Whether it is a physical illness, emotional illness or spiritual illness, pray for the strength to overcome and carry on. Pray for the guidance to find comfort in the arms of the Lord.

A Prayer for Children.....

I just sat down today without a thought in my head of what I wanted to pray about and as if a light had been turned on I immediately thought "Children". The Bible makes it clear that God holds children in a very high regard and I feel that we should strive to do the same.

Matthew 18:6 "But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." (NIV)

To often children are regarded as a sort of "second class citizen" or in some cases are even considered a burden. The following is a small section from the Seattle Pi:

"A Philippine woman who acknowledged giving birth to a baby on a flight from the Middle East and then leaving him in the trash on the plane said she was raped by her employer, a lawmaker said Thursday."

The baby was almost dead when he was pulled from the trash bag. I am not trying to fault this woman in particular as I do not know her circumstance, this is all about the children. If you are a parent, pray for guidance. If you ever plan on having children, pray for wisdom. If you know of any child that is currently in a bad situation, pray that they receive the help that they need. Pray with me that our children will grown into great leaders and outshine us in all ways. Pray for all children, especially the ones who do not have a voice to pray for themselves.

Pray for Politics.....

I will be the first to tell you that I am not one to get involved in politics or issues of the government. Primarily because I work for the government and have to be very careful with how I choose my words. However, I was recently reading a news article in which Lady Gaga was speaking publicly to a crowd of her fans. The following quote was taken from an article on cnn.com:

"The 24-year-old singer also drew cheers by proposing a new law, titled, "If you don't like it, go home," which would remove homophobic straight soldiers from the military instead of gay soldiers." "In addition to speaking at Monday's rally, Gaga has used her online presence to rally her fans -- nicknamed "Little Monsters" -- in support of repeal."

I am not opposed to free speech at all. I do want to pray though that people will vote on the issues based on their own convictions and not because the are following a celebrity hero. Please join me in praying for all of our politicians and all of the voters around the world. Above all let us always pray for salvation through Jesus Christ for the unbeliever.

Prayer for the Women of the World..........

I read the following two excerpts in an article today and it broke my heart. we need to pray for these people and we need to pray now. They could use all of our prayers and out support. I will be looking for organizations that help with this sort of problem and I will post them on the blog. Here is what I read:

"The victims, some as young as 12, are kidnapped, beaten, raped, and forced to have sex with up to dozens of men each day. Their pimps brainwash them into emotional dependence. Pimps then teach their sex slaves to mistrust police, making their escape from this vicious cycle of violence extremely difficult."

"Children comprise 50 percent of the human trafficking trade. Trafficking humans, a $10-billion dollar industry, is now the third most profitable criminal activity behind drug and arms sales."

Please join me in praying for these children and women. They need help and they need it now. This is not something that should be ignored. These people are daughters, sisters, mothers, and friends and they are being sold like material goods. Pray that they will find freedom from their captors and freedom in Christ.

Prayer for Our Lines in the Sand.......

Lines in the sand are boundaries that we set for ourselves based on the word of God revealed through his holy word, The Bible. Some of these lines are easier than others not to cross. For instance, most people find it easy to stay on the good side of the line "thou shall not kill" but what about a statement such as "no man can serve two God's.....you cannot serve both God and money?" I am asking that you take a minute to pray that God will search your heart and reveal to you areas in which you may be crossing over the line. I assure you that I will be doing the same. This post is the result of a convicting of my own heart this evening. Also, if you know someone who is going through a specific trouble or trail, take the time to pray for them and that they might know healing through Jesus Christ.

Prayer for Rev. Terry Jones.....

I am sure by now almost everyone reading this is familiar with the story of Rev Terry Jones and his "International burn a Quran day". If you have not heard, Terry Jones is a Pastor at the Dove Outreach Center in Gainesville FL. On September 11th, 2010 Jones and members of his congregation plan to burn multiple copies of the Quran as a message to the followers of radical Islam. Only God knows the motives of Terry Jones heart, and we must remember that we are not here to judge him at all. What we are here to do though is pray. Therefore, I ask that you join me in this prayer for Rev. Jones and his congregation. "Father God, we thank you Lord for the ability and the freedom to offer these prayers to you God. Lord we ask that you serve as a guiding light to Rev Jones and all of your followers at Dove Outreach in Florida. Father, we pray that your will be done in all things and ask Lord that you and you alone guide the hearts and minds of the religious leaders on this planet Lord. That they (and all people) will seek your wisdom in all matters God. We offer these prayers in the name of your son and our savior Jesus Christ." -Amen

Prayer for the People of Guatemala.....

This morning I came across a story about the flooding that has been taking place in Guatemala. According to CNN:

"Around 11,500 residents have been evacuated and 9,000 have taken refuge in
shelters, the nation's disaster agency said. More than 43,000 people are at
risk from the punishing rain. said to be the strongest in 60 years."

Twelve people have already lost their lives due to the rains and all this comes several months after 150 people died when tropical storm Agatha hit Guatemala in May of this year. I ask that you will join me in this prayer today for the people of Guatemala. "Father God, we thank you for this day Lord and we bring to you Lord the people of Guatemala who are currently out of a home and struggling for basic necessities. We ask God that you be with these people helping not only to heal their physical needs, but their emotional and spiritual needs as well. We ask Lord that you reveal yourself to them and that anyone who might not know your son, Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior might develop a relationship with him. All these things we ask in your name. -Amen

Prayer for the Facebook Fan Page.........

I have decided that I am going to create a fan page for the Prayer 4 site on Facebook. I ask that if you read this you would take a moment to pray about God working through this ministry and helping people come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. I will post a link to the fan page as soon as I get it up and running. Thanks for all the prayers!

Prayer for Prayer 4.....

I have been slacking. This blog is something that I truly feel that God put on my heart but I feel as though I am not doing it enough. So I ask today for prayer for this blog. I really want it to be a place where people can offer up their prayers to the Lord. I am going to pray on this matter myself and I ask that anyone who reads this will join my in this prayer. "God, let this be about you. Let Prayer 4 be a place where the hurt, lost, and saved alike can bring their requests to your throne. We ask Lord that you open our eyes to your glory and the salvation that we can receive through your son Jesus Christ. Lord forgive our sins of the past and the sins that we will commit in the future. Thank you Lord for offering the opportunity to use the internet as a ministry. In the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ we offer these prayers. Amen"

Prayer for 521 group.....

I did not want to make this blog about prayers for myself but I have one in particular that I would like to ask for prayer for. At church I was asked to help start a ministry for young adults between the ages of 18-30! This is a very important demographic that the church needs to be outreaching to in the community. I just want to ask for all of your prayers for this small group and that God will use it to help bring people to salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank you all and God bless!

Prayer for the Government....

It has been way to long since I have posted a good prayer. The past two weeks have been spent writing research papers for school. I would like to take time today to pray for the governments of the world. Pray with me that our leaders will make wise decisions in every area of the government. I am not going to go into specifics because there are to many areas of government to name at this time. Whether it is local, state, or the federal government take the time today to pray for them. As always pray for the salvation of souls through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Remember that with him all things are possible!

A Prayer for Advertising...

Today I had a meeting for the SAPR (Sexual Assault Prevention and Response) team that I am an advocate for, and found the material discussed very disturbing. We discussed alcohol and the way marketing agencies portray young men and woman to the rest of the world. I can say that it was a very troubling subject matter. What bothered me the most was that the alcohol advertisements portrayed alcohol as a means to ensure sexual activity, a way to fit in, the path to follow if you are seeking a good time, a confidence builder...etc They never once showed alcohol leading to violence, sexual assault, divorce, marital unfaithfulness, unwanted pregnancy...etc Pray that the media will stop peddling this illusion to the people of the world. Pray that people of the world will not be blind to the illusion of the media. Above all Pray that more souls will come to be saved through the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

A Prayer for Mothers...

Moms need prayer from all of us. If you know a mother who is of special need right now please take the time to say a prayer for her. If you can not think of anyone in particular then just pray for a mom that you know even if you do not know her personally. Pray not only for the biological mothers of the world but also the spiritual mothers who are helping the shape the Christian lives of the young women around them. Above all pray for salvation through Christ and that all mothers might come to know Jesus as their personal savior.

A Prayer for Believers....

I have to admit that for the past week or two I have been struggling with my faith. I have felt distanced from the Lord and felt an emptiness that I have not felt since before receiving my salvation. I want to pray tonight not only for myself but for any believer that might be experiencing those same or similar feelings. Pray that the Lord with be with them and give them strength and reassurance that he is with them always. Pray that the Lord with give them wisdom and strength to share the love of Christ with unbelievers.

Prayer for Fathers.....

On this fathers day I ask that we all raise a prayer for the fathers of the world. Ephesians 6:4 says "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Fatherhood is by no means an easy task and growing up without a father can be emotionally devastating. These are two areas in which I have experience. It is the responsibility of the father to raise the kids in the training of the Lord and with a compassionate and understanding heart. Pray with me that God will guide the hearts of fathers. Pray for a particular father in your life who you would like to see more involved with their children. Pray that through fatherhood the men of the world might develop a deeper relationship with their heavenly father Jesus Christ. As always we offer our prays in the name of the saviour Jesus Christ. -Amen

A Prayer for Porn.....

The following is a section of testimony which Jill C. Manning gave before the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rightsand Property Rights Committee on Judiciary United States Senate in November, 2005:

Leading experts in the field of sexual addictions contend on-line sexual activity is "a hidden public health hazard exploding, in part because very few are recognizing it as such or taking it seriously."

When a child or adolescent is directly exposed the following effects have been documented:

1. Lasting negative or traumatic emotional responses.

2. Earlier onset of first sexual intercourse, thereby increasing the risk of STD's over the lifespan.

3. The belief that superior sexual satisfaction is attainable without having affection for one's partner, thereby reinforcing the commoditization of sex and the objectification of humans.

4. The belief that being married or having a family are unattractive prospects.

5. Increased risk for developing sexual compulsions and addictive behavior.

6. Increased risk of exposure to incorrect information about human sexuality long before a minor is able to contextualize this information in ways an adult brain could and, overestimating the prevalence of less common practices (e.g., group sex, bestiality, or sadomasochistic activity).

We need to pray for the strong moral judgement of the men and woman of the world. We are constantly bombarded with pornographic images that can be very confusing and lead to struggles with addiction. "Mary Anne Layden, co-director of the Sexual Trauma and Psychopathology Program at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Cognitive Therapy, called porn the "most concerning thing to psychological health that I know of existing today."

Let us all pray together than for the guiding wisdom of God in our society. That Jesus Christ will touch the lives of people struggling with addiction to Internet pornography. Pray that they might be set free from the chains that bind them. All these prayers we bring in the name of Jesus Christ. -Amen

Prayer for Souls...

At this moment I feel very compelled to pray for those in the world who are in need of Jesus Christ in their lives. I pray that God will open the hearts of those in this world who could use him the most right now. The man thinking of suicide. The woman struggling with the thought of abortion. The Christian who is being veered off the path of righteousness. Children with no food for their bellies who will go to sleep hungry tonight. Pray for anyone that you know needs the love of Christ in their life. After you have prayed for someone you know take the time to pray for someone you don't know. Someone you have never met but feel could use the love of Christ in their life. All these things we ask in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. -Amen

A Prayer for Fathers....

Cancer. When spoken aloud the word cancer can cause very uneasy and heart wrenching feelings. To see someone we love suffer from any type of illness can be a very trying and difficult time. I would like to ask that anyone who reads this to please say a prayer for Ozell Samuel. He is the father of a good friend of mine and is currently suffering bone cancer. He is a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. We know that true comfort can only come through Jesus Christ and I pray that Ozell and his family will all feel the presence of Christ during this season of illness. I would like all of you to know that Ozell has a relationship with Christ and is a believer and child of God. Let us be encouraged knowing that God is good and is with Ozell every step of the way. The title of this post is "A Prayer for Fathers." I wanted to take the time not only to pray for Ozell but for all the fathers on the globe. Let us pray that they all come to a deep relationship and salvation through Jesus Christ. Pray that all Fathers clothe themselves in the characteristics of our heavenly father. Pray that fathers take the time to be actively involved in the lives of their children and bring them up in the training of the Lord. All of these things we ask in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. -Amen

Prayer for our Pastors...

I feel called today to ask anyone who reads this to say a prayer for their pastor and senior church leadership. As Christians, I feel that we tend to forget about our pastors in our prayers. Forgetting that they suffer the same daily temptations and trails as the rest of us. Let us take the time today to pray for the continued guidance of the Holy Spirit for our pastors and church leadership. Pray that God will lead them in all things concerning the church and that they will seek Gods wisdom in all matters concerning the church. These things we always ask in the name of Christ - Amen

A Prayer of Thanksgiving...

This morning I came across a story that opened like this "A former child slave is rescuing victims of child trafficking in Ghana and has built a school to give them a better future." Many of these children are sold into slave labor for as little as fifty dollars a year, often by a parent or relative. It is wonderful to know that there are people out there who are trying to make a difference in the lives of these children. James Kofi Annan left his promising banking job in order to open a school where freed slaves have the opportunity to get an education. He uses his personal income in order to buy back slave children so that they have a chance at a basic education. Let us pray first that all of the people of Ghana will have the opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ in their own language and will come to know him as savior. Let us pray for the fisherman and that they might find a means to continue their trade with out the need for child labor. Pray with me for James Annan and that his work will continue to prosper and we will see more children freed from the bonds of child labor. Lastly, let us pray that more people around the globe will develop a heart of compassion similar to that of Mr. Annan.

Prayer Request from a Military Mother...

The prayer request for our troops and veterans hit very close to home. I am the mother of three enlisted children. In the eight years they have served I have spent a great deal of time on my knees. As our young people are deployed over and over the toll on them and on their families is devastating. PTSD in both the veteran and their families is at an all time high, as is domestic and child abuse in military families, as well as military suicides. Please extend your prayers to include our veterans and enlisted, but don't forget the families here at home that support them. We are a nation sadly in need of Christ....that starts at home.

Praying for those who served...

As a military member, this post hits very close to home and it breaks my heart to think of all the homeless veterans across the United States. The Department of Veterans Affairs states that nearly one third of all the adult homeless population in the United States are veterans. A majority of the homeless veterans suffer from mental illness and substance abuse. These are Americans who fought on foreign soil to ensure American Freedom. They suffered great loss at the hands of their enemies. Their eyes have seen things that would cause most people to turn and run the other way. They know how it feels to have a friend die in their arms from an enemy bullet. They fought some of the fiercest battles our nation has ever seen but now they fight for a place to sleep at night. They fight hunger pains and alcohol addiction. They fight for the basic needs which they once fought to protect. Without their sacrifice I might not have the freedom to sit and write this blog post. We need to pray for these veterans. Pray that they will come to salvation through Jesus Christ. Pray that their basic needs will be met. Pray that God will free them from the chains of addiction. Pray that all Americans will never forget, even for one day, the amazing sacrifice that these individuals made.
I found the following story on the Department of Veterans Affairs website. Let us pray that similar stories continue to pop up all over the country. "To ensure the Minnesota Veterans home in Minneapolis remains a comfortable and safe residence for Veterans, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is awarding two grants worth nearly $22.4 million for a new 100-bed nursing home and other improvements." These are the changes that I pray we see in cities across the nation. So the next time you see a homeless person, remember, that there is a very good chance that they once fought for your very freedom.

If you would like more information on how you can help the Veterans of the United States please check out the link below:

Death Toll in Iraq

As of today there have been 114 confirmed deaths after a "relentless cascade of bombings and shootings - hitting at least 10 cities and towns" (Toll in, 2010) in Iraq on Monday. Iraq is land that should be in our prayers and on our hearts continually. Being an American, it is hard for me to imagine living in a world in which war is happening right outside our front doors. A world in which at any moment a loved one could be torn from your life at the hands of a suicide bomber or in crossfire being exchanged by militants. Children left without parents, parents without children, wives without husbands and husbands without wives. On Monday, May 10th 2010, 114 families were devastated and suffered unimaginable loss. James 1:27 tells us that "Religion that God our father accepted as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and oneself from being polluted by the world." (NIV) I am here to suggest that one of the many things that we can do to help these widows and orphans is to collectively pray. Pray that they will come to know salvation through Jesus Christ. Pray that they will be comforted in this time of tremendous hardships. Pray that all of their physical needs will be met. Pray that these attacks will begin to cease. Pray for the individuals conducting these attacks. Pray that we all remember that Jesus died for them the same time he died for us.

Very first Prayer!

I would like to start by thanking God for all that he has done in my life and for the opportunity to start this blog. The idea for Prayer 4 was actually the answer to a prayer. While in conversation with God I asked Him to show me a way in which I could help to further His kingdom. His answer was very clearly Prayer 4. The more I prayed on it the more I began to realize that too often we tend to pray for people within our lives, church, community, state, etc. Sometimes we (myself included) forget that there is a huge world out there filled with people who could use our prayers. I am not saying that there is any problem with praying for those people that we spend our daily lives with. We should all continually pray for the people around us. The goal of Prayer 4 for is to get large groups of people all praying for specific needs around the world. I pray that ultimately all people, in all walks of life, in every corner of the globe will all be praying for each other on a regular basis. With all that being said here is my first prayer:

" I pray God for Prayer 4 and that it will always remain about you. Lord I pray that my pride will never build in me while working in this ministry. I pray God that you will hear our prayers and through them you will not only meet the physical needs but that you will also meet the spiritual needs of the people of this planet. I pray Lord that through this ministry we will see numerous people come to salvation through your son Jesus Christ. God we know that through you all things are possible and we give you the glory. It is in Christ name we pray Lord." - Amen
